This Red Riding Hood ensemble was made with the utmost attention to detail to bring the fairytale character to life.
 
The first piece is the one piece dress.  It's made from a heavy off-white cotton with a round neckline and puffed sleeves with elastic  to create a beautiful puff.  At the edge of the hemmed sleeve is embroidered flower chain in a deep red.  The bustier is in black cotton, self lined with the matching embroidered deep red flower chain like the sleeves.  It is seen on both the front and back pieces.  In the center of the sweetheart is a red satin bow.  The whole bodice is lined in cream for a thick sturdy construction and top stitched around the neckline.  The skirt is created from a crackle black print on a deep red.  It is gathered to the bodice and contains a lace border and a ruffle at the edge in matching material.
 
Red Riding Hood would not be complete without her cape.  The cape is fully lined with the crackle black print on deep red to match the dress and a red rose and cream lining on the interior.  The front of the cape has a matching shirred trim from the red crackle cotton that borders the front edges and round the hood edge.  On the inside there is a casing that encloses a red ribbon which ties into a bow at the front.  The cape is made high-low with the front edges bordering the short skirt of the dress and then full length in the back.  This allows the cream tights and burgundy cut out boots to show from the front (both tights and boots are included in this set).  The generous hood allows for pretty hair styles underneath and a framing of your doll's face.
 
Also included is Red Riding Hood's basket which will come empty with a red gingham liner for you to line her treats into.
