Part of being able to save a doll from an unwanted status to a highly collectible status is to be able to have the supplies and the knowledge on restoring them to their former glory.  These dolls are all rooted hair dolls and so the best and most authentic way to restore them is to root their hair back into the individual holes on their heads.  If you know how to do this yourself, you can restore the doll to a form where it was originally sold.  If not, you are seeking out a professional that knows how to re-root a doll's hair and paying in the ballpark of $200-$400 to fully restore the hair as it's an extremely time consuming task.

The other options collectors have turned to is to purchase human sized wigs off ebay or other wig supplier sites.  As human hair wigs default sizing is between 21-22" and Playpals have a 19" head, a lot of these wigs just look too big or inauthentic because they are just too modern looking for this vintage 1950's-1960's doll.  But there hasn't been another choice, and bad hair just ruins a doll's look.

We wanted to create an affordable solution for collectors and doll hospitals to solve this problem by creating a wig line that authentically covered her head at the proper size, but also capitalized on the vintage era these dolls are from.  We've drawn inspiration from these doll's original hair styles and color choices but also expand on it.  We want to encourage collectors to explore colors and combinations that may not have been on a particular model and have options to select rarer colors that are hardly available without a high cost.  Wigging a doll is a fast and easy way to upgrade your doll's look at a low and affordable cost.

They are made to fit 36" tall lifesize children dolls such as Ideal Patti Playpal, Lovee Shirley Temple Dolls, Ideal Shirley Temple Dolls, 36" Tandy Talks dolls, and Companion Dolls made by companies like Allied Eastern, Effanbee, Madame Alexander, Nasco, Sayco, Canadian Curly Dimples dolls, Canadian Miss Lucky Green, English Rosebud, Brazilian Estrela Amiguinha, and other such branded and unbranded dolls of similar 36" height.​
