This selection of wigs were made by doll companies catering to mostly bisque and composition style dolls.  The wig cap styles vary depending on how the doll's head was made.  Full cap wigs can be used on both antique and modern dolls as the cap will go all the way around the head to the hairline right behind the ears.  3/4 cap wigs have a shallow or almost disk like cap that is meant for antique dolls with a soft opening of the head where the wig can be attached and the rest of the hair comes forward without an under wig cap.  These are for antique dolls that were made that way and are not suitable for modern dolls as they won't fit properly despite the head size.  Description and title of wig will indicate whether it is a full cap or a 3/4 cap for easy reference.  Most of the vintage wigs are historical hair styles meant to replicate certain eras such as the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's as well as early time periods like Victorian and Civil War which were popular styles for dolls.  These wigs are useful in repairing older historical dolls rather than current modern day dolls.  All doll wigs listed are new/unglued condition and will come in a clear reseallable bag for easy storage. Vintage wigs are all made from mod-acrylic (synthetic) fibers and are not heat safe (meaning you can't use curling irons or hot tools on them).
