Fantasy for Dolls - Issue 21 Rosebud Fairy Magic

Today we are leaving on another Fantasy/Fairytale flight with Bbeauty Dolls as our host. Our journey takes us deep into the enchanted forest. It's a mythical place where the fairies fly, elves run, and unicorns take flight.

Our fairy today is like a warm summers breeze. Her gown is done in the palest of pink silk dupioni, so pale it almost looks white in photographs.

There is so much that goes into the making of a fairy. I love using flowers to help create a story. The train is one of the most beautiful parts of this ensemble. Flowers don't just cascade, they must be strategically placed, kind of like a puzzle. Colors can't be all together, it must blend as if by design, they are then individually attached to the train itself to give it the look of flowers falling. Time and care is given to this area. Each and every one is picked out purposely and placed deliberately.

The flowers at the bodice were also picked and placed to give it a cohesive feeling. Nothing has been left to chance. I added a glittering sheer organza and sporadically placed the flowers. Snaps were added to make it easy to take on and off.

The wings, are to me, the most powerful thing. It's a process of gluing and cutting and then forging in fire. To give them the iridescent glow they need to be burned which turns them into something amazing. It's a long process from start to finish, days, but each pair is uniquely different.

Flowers are added very meticulously to form the crown tucked into her hair. No detail is spared.

When the sun hits at different angles, the wings look magical and change color. This reflects all the colors in the flowers throughout the ensemble.

I chose Bbeauty's Dusty Rose Cutout Boots for this outfit. The fairy has her magical pixie dust bottle in hand.

The boots have tiny cut outs and beautiful pearl buttons, they pick up the colors of the flowers tucked gently under her dress. It gives her the running start to take flight!

She takes flight through this majestic place with her iridescent wings. They appear to change color as she floats through the air. As delicate as they look they are strong enough to carry her through this fantastic journey. Don't miss it or she may disappear before your very eyes!
