Greetings, fellow doll enthusiasts! I'm Liz from American Doll Dreams! I'm excited to share with you my "Flight of Fantasy" collection showcasing my work as a custom doll artist. This week I'll walk you through 3 Custom Princesses I've created with a final doll that readers will be able to purchase at the end!
For this collection I chose to work with 3 Colors of Bbeauty Doll's "Constance" Doll wigs. The colors I chose were "Light Blonde", "Black as Midnight" and "Auburn Nights". These wigs were selected because they offered a luxurious medieval look just perfect for my magical princesses. The realistic, soft fibers used to create them and the careful way they were constructed, made them ideal for styling, braiding, and photographing.

The first fantasy princess I would like to introduce is Gisella. Her name means "promise" and is historically associated with nobility. I created her using an American Girl doll with the soft serene expression of the Kaya face mold and sculpted hands posed to hold a bouquet of wildflowers or cuddle a baby butterfly dragon.

I gave her hand painted eyes that reflected the colors of nature. Her lovely face was carefully repainted with delicate, lifelike features, including feathered eyebrows, wispy eyelashes, soft lip shading, and skin blushing.

Liz first came to us in 2021 and over the years I have been actively following her work and have enjoyed a long lasting customer relationship as well. Not only does she produce dolls with beautiful artistry and presentation, but she's a high quality artist so you get the full package with her pieces. When picking artist showcases for the "Fantasy for Dolls" series, I knew instantly that I wanted Liz on board to showcase her work. I've fallen in love with many of her dolls and projects and was very impressed when I found out that she was doing things for Ruby Red, Gotz, and Paola Reina in addition to American Girl customizations. I'm always happy to support her in her efforts and am honored to have her featuring in our newsletters this week.
