These eyes look like real glass and are a collector grade.  Hard polymer half round eye that is shatter resistant and temperature stable up to 275 degrees Fahrenheit (135 degrees Celsius).  When put side by side with a half dome acrylic eye, you notice right away a difference in the glossy shine on the eye, but also in the difference between the whites of the eyes.  The acrylic has a very white white that does look plastic, but the poly glass has more of a porcelain white look to it.  As well, the eyes look more 3D as if the iris drops down at a deeper level rather than on the acrylic where it appears surface level.  With the poly glass you get all the detail and realism that is missing from most glass eye castings, but with the look of the high end glass eye.
 
Heat vinyl and front load into sockets or back load depending on the doll's eye socket and neck opening type.  
 
Special Note: These eyes have been tested and approved by us as an appropriate substitution for Gotz Happy Kidz 19" dolls.  Although these dolls originally come with a globe style eye, this half dome eye works perfectly as a substitution for a more realistic eye and to customize these dolls for more looks.  The half dome is inserted into the socket from the back and will stay in place without needing any glue.  Iris size is compatible with the original eye size and looks proportionate.
