This is a restored 1950's fashion doll about 18" tall.  She has big blue eyes (sleepy/blinking type), and a very golden blonde hair.  She kind of reminds me of Gidget in a lot of ways.  She's a played with doll previously owned by an adult collector.  She has most of her original hair, so I chose to work with it and style it rather than replace it.  It's been styled into an updo and pinned in place.  It has been fully washed and cleaned and is rather bushy at the ends (which have been styled inwards into the bun to keep from being unruly).  There are areas where it is short and fuzzy and uneven from the years of being played with including the front bangs. She might benefit from a wig or a re-root in future to fully restore her to a like-new condition.
 
Her restoration included a full body and hair wash.  She retains her original stringing, it's not tight, but it's sturdy.  Her arms stringing are not tight enough to hold poses upwards. I could not figure out how her stringing worked otherwise I would have tightened her, so she is as is. I would say she's more of a display doll.  She's wearing a fully handmade dress in purple which is lined at the bodice and then has a separate piece purple underskirt.  She also is wearing matching purple bloomers underneath the dress and topped off with golden tie high heels.  The outfit was made especially for her with the utmost professionalism so it's very well done and in new condition.
 
Her body consists of a vinyl head which moves from side to side, arms which are articulated at the elbow so that she can "hug" or pose with curved arms and the rest of her body almost feels like a rubber with stuffing inside and wire.  The torso and legs are all connected as one piece and are "bendable" to pose.  I've seen several other dolls that share this same dynamic so it's not uncommon.
 
She has no box, she's fully refurbished and you can see the love that went into her.  Her dress fashion and shoes are very nice and she's clean and ready for her new home.  She will come with a metal stand for display.
