I'm so happy to be included with Bbeauty Dolls on this Fantasy/Fairytale journey! Yesterday was just a tease of what is to come and today we are going to go back in time to the medieval era.

This magical journey would take us to a beautiful castle. I can't help but see the beauty surrounding me. During the early years a castle consisted of wood and earth, eventually evolving to stone. Though the draftiness was quite extensive, when considering her attire, I thought about what would be needed in that frigid air.

A kirtle (gown) was a must, but style should never be left to chance. Wool and cotton were normally used in clothing but her kirtle was made of crushed silk velvet which was normally reserved for nobility, royalty, and the church.

Instead of a gold crown, she opted for gorgeous flowers in her hair which was perfectly suited to her attire.

Her velvet girdle (belt) was adorned with precious metals and jewels which hung close to the body. It was quite beautiful to look at.

Her boots were designed perfectly. They tie up in the front and are simple but elegant. It provided warmth and protection for the cold winter days in the castle. They were normally made from leather for the durability. These are available from Bbeauty Dolls here.

When going outside on a cold winter day, a mantle (cape) is worn. It was a huge semicircle with a wide neck joined by a long cord. Hers is made with an iridescent silk/cotton blend and lined with a warm wool combination fabric. Cold days would never have been a thought on her magical journey.

You can let your imagination run wild as she would run through the woods playing with her friends.
