Restocks and the "Notify when Available" Request on a product

One of the most common questions we get is when something will be restocked. As a designer of our own products restocking is not always as simple as it seems. Some styles and colors are repeatedly ordered and some fizzle out after "everyone has one" and they look for something new. We started the "Notify When Available" function on products that sell out as a gauge to tell us how many people may re-order a product after we've sold the last one. We look at the requests that come in once a quarter and order in all the styles that have a number of requests over our production minimum. Any products that do not have enough requests to meet the production minimum are not ordered in. If we see that a style is not getting enough interest to make it on an order, we discontinue that style in favor of a new item.
The Notify When Available function is not a back-order request or an order. It simply let's us know you are interested in purchasing the product when it's back in stock. If the item comes back in stock, our system will automatically notify you via email when it's available for purchase.
We also announce in our email newsletters when we place an order and when items are coming. We often set the products coming to pre-order so that customers can order ahead and have their items automatically shipped. This saves remembering when an item is coming into stock. We let you know exactly what is coming in and a rough idea of when it's scheduled to arrive. Timelines are our best estimate, how fast items are produced usually has a few variables but we try to keep updates if there is a significant delay.
If you notice an item isn't making it to the order announcements, please send us a customer service message. There could be factors that is preventing us from putting it on an upcoming order such as:
The product has been flagged for discontinuation or delay due to lack of required interest
The product is being redesigned
The product is seasonal and won't be back until that season is near such as long sleeve wardrobe in the fall or winter months or holiday specific items. This can also be true for wig colors such as Auburns and Pumpkin colors for fall and whites and red tones for Christmas.
The product was a limited edition and has sold out without the ability to be remade. This can be true for clothing collections where we have no more of the fabric.
The product's cost or production ability has changed
Once the item is officially discontinued, we remove it from our website.
