This undergarment set is made in white cotton and has 4 pieces:
 
1. Civil War Wide Neck Chemise - This chemise is designed to accommodate wide necklines often seen in civil war fashion.  It uses a yoke style design that naturally falls like a cap sleeve over the shoulder (1/2" wide at the arm) to accommodate short sleeves and narrow sleeves.  It has a cotton lace dainty trim around the neckline and standard hem.  Length of chemise hits around back of the calf on an 18" doll. Velcro closure in back.
 
2. Corset - Made from white cotton and boned with slim boning channels, this corset has a decorative front with silver hooks and eyes (does not open in front) and laces in back with tiny grommets and white cotton cording.  Edged in white cotton bias tape.
 
3. Ruffled Petticoat - Made from white cotton with each row of ruffles beautifully hemmed with dainty slim hems.  Ruffled petticoat has 3 rows of ruffles and a yoke at the top.  Drawstring closure with white cotton cord.
 
4. Civil War Hoop Skirt - This hoop has four boning channels in white ribbon casings and a white cotton base.  Drawstring closure with white cotton cord. The hoop measures with the bottom circumference at 35".  
 
Note that this undergarment set was made to accommodate grand ball gowns and large custom made fashions and designs.  Most sewing patterns and available fashions in this time period have been designed to eliminate the use of undergarments and have smaller skirts. Alterations to sewing patterns to accommodate a larger skirt and more ease in the bodice to allow for the chemise and corset underneath may be necessary to fit the set properly.
