This doll is very eye catching from her giant brown eyes, to her fabulous fashion, and her flipped up hair, it's hard to not be excited about her. She is vinyl (not porcelain).
If you are not familiar with Marie Osmond dolls there was a great attention to detail and was a successful doll brand for a long time.
Marie Osmond says: “When I started my doll company, I had no idea how well it would be received. I guess I just didn’t realize how many doll collectors there were out there”, admits Marie. “Being a collector myself, I know what other collectors look for in dolls…memorable faces, the finest porcelain, creative concepts, high quality wigs, eyes and costumes, etc.,…so that’s how I make my dolls”. Marie reveals, “I love hearing personal stories from collectors about their dolls, and how a certain doll holds special meaning for them by either sparking a memory or by creating a new one. That’s the payoff for me! That’s what collecting is all about.“
Adora Belle has a medium brown hair that is short and even to her chin and that flips up all the way around, short bangs just above her eyes. She has giant black rimmed sunglasses with yellow tinted lenses and they are not affixed to the top of her head, she can wear them, but I wanted to show her eyes in the pictures. She has gentle blushing and red lips and a small black mole or beauty spot below her right eye. Her dress is made of satin with under petticoats and there are red accents from her shoes to her belt with the rhinestone star to her bloomers underneath her dress. She's wearing black lace tights and then has red shoes decorated with black accents and buckles. There are also red buttons on her sleeve cuffs. Her scarf is a white with black spot as an alternate to her dress which is the black with white spots. She also has a matching red purse which I've pictured separately.
She comes with her original box, her Certificate of Authenticity with confirmation of her number, her original wrist tag, and she is complete. She is #1170 out of 2232 produced and she is a Limited Edition doll.
Imperfections:
Her bloomers have lost their elasticity so there is a safety pin hidden under the dress at the back to keep her bloomers from sliding down.
Her box has some pen marks at the top
She has been on display and minor dust may be found on her. She has been given a gentle cleaning and wipe down but there may be areas I've missed as I didn't fully undress her or launder any of her clothing.
None of this detracts from her beauty and are all minor imperfections. She is in excellent like-new condition.
