Firstly a note that the original construction of this closet used a lot of staples.  Construction was a bit flimsy in places, but because it’s such a nostalgic looking piece we couldn’t help ourselves.  The staples were replaced with tiny nails to make the overall construction last longer and be much sturdier for handling and play.  It was missing a leg and we had a replacement leg made identical in shape (shown in pictures as unpainted).  Reinforcements were made to the front doors as they easily became misaligned and didn’t open smoothly.  We probably spent much more time on refurbishing this closet than it was worth, but we wanted the next owner to be able to enjoy a solid value and sturdy craftsmanship as well as the nostalgia.  
We are including Jill’s hat box in black as a bonus.  It is missing a snap but it closes and stays closed without it.  Red interior.
