Fantasy for Dolls - Issue 9 Dorothy Gale

Today, I am so excited to give you a closer look at the first ensemble from the "World of Oz Collection" as part of the Fantasy for Dolls collaboration with Bbeauty Dolls!  This first look in the Oz series showcases Dorothy's iconic blue and white gingham pinafore outfit!

For this ensemble, I drew upon the original design of Dorothy's look in the Wizard of Oz film for inspiration.  Dorothy's pinafore is made from a classic blue and white gingham printed cotton which was thrifted from a local shop and features a gathered waistline, crisscross straps that overlap in the back and snap at the front of the pinafore with faux button closures.  Trim detailing runs along the top and bottom of the pinafore just as the original design had with a matching waistline. 

Beneath the pinafore is a matching white muslin top with accent trim along the neckline and gathered sleeves.  Both the pinafore and matching top are made from patterns I crafted myself.  Also included are Dorothy's blue hair ribbons to finish off the look!

To go along with the pinafore, are Dorothy's red slippers and lace trimmed socks - Both Bbeauty products!  Dorothy's shoes have been customized to match the look of the original pair of ruby red slippers seen in the "Wizard of Oz" film.  Each one bedazzled by hand with red glass crystal rhinestones and a bow for added detail and sparkle!
